The Doors Lyrics Blog

This Doors Lyrics page was the third group I created a site for. This site has lyrics, song facts, biographies of each band member, a sound section, plus a video of Jim Morrison's Grave. The Doors remain one of my favorite groups. Hope you enjoyed the site.
Post any info you want - your favorite song, seen concerts - anything. Thanks for stopping by.

Aw what can i say only a BIG THANKS, a great site for this Irish Doors fan
I love the doors, i always have since i was little. alot of people say to me that Jim wass a freak and a drug atticked, yeah he was but he was more then that... he was so intelligent and all he wanted was for people to listen to his words and understand where he was comming from. i don't care what other people say. i love u Jim, Ray, Robby and John! PEACE OUT!
I dont think jim was a drug "addict" addicts usualy "need" it jim wanted them to clense the doors of perception. !! note: this is ALL opinion i didnt know jim and i dont know what his thoughts were so i cant be sure thats just how i feel.
On the song L.A. woman the lyric " city of night" was a book jim had read and then gave to danny sugarman and danny wrote about the event in "wonderland avenue"(book) friend of jims and later manager of ray manzeric and iggy pop.
in the song riders on the storm..which is ma anytime trippy song..i found the lyrics given here is a lit bit wrong....i saw
if ya give this man a ride
sweet memory will die
...but the correct line is
if ya give this man a ride
sweet family will die..
you can check it out..
....jim rocks..

Thanks,
I haven't had a chance to check out all the lyrics yet. hopefully they are right cause it is a shame when jim's lyrics and poems are written improper. Jim was and still is a lyrical and musical genius and it is a shame that heroine was his downfall. It's a horrible drug that makes you a prisioner of your own body and after doing it for so long, your not doing it to get high, your doing it to feel normal so you can get through the day without being sick. If we can take something from jims death, it should be this. Live life to the fullest, but watch what comes out of dark corners, cause you might catch yourself some death, death from doors you can't see through. Awesome quote, isn't it.. nobody steal it.
